I, for one think it is very important for a child to have a job while they are growing up.  Having a part time or full time job can teach a kid a lot of things, most importantly, the value of money.  Like me, I had a few jobs will I was a child.  The first job I had was a paper route after school.  I hated it, but it taught me discipline.  After that ended, I got a job as an altar boy.  This, as with the paper route, taught me things I would use as an adult.  While altar serving I learned reverence, how to have faith in my religion, the male anatomy and how to keep secrets from my parents.
